Whiskey & Cream

I love making a rich drink this time of the year! One that feels as cold as the weather outside my window but is warm and smooth going down! It’s like having dessert in a glass. The key to this recipe is the homemade chocolate sauce! It taste so rich and decadent, its super thick. Plus you can use it on ice cream and other desserts too. Here’s the recipe for the Chocolate sauce.

1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups of all natural sugar
1 4oz 60 % cocoa bitter sweet chocolate bar
20 dashes chocolate bitters
3 tablespoons of butter
1/2 cup water
Pinch salt

Stir all ingredients in small sauce pan over low heat till there are no lumps.

I like to make a big batch of the Whiskey & Cream because it stays fresh in the fridge for over a week. It’s a nice little nightcap instead of dessert.

20 oz Jack Daniels
16 oz of Half n Half
4 tablespoons chocolate sauce
2 containers of condensed milk
1 oz espresso or 3 oz of strong brewed coffee
5 dashes of chocolate bitters

Enjoy!
